After recently ending a hat-ban induced by too much knitwear living in a sock drawer, I decided to make a cap for my fiancé. Inspired by his love of purple and my love of fine tonal yarn, I picked Silky Merino by Malabrigo in Purple Mystery. Like so many others, I had a hard time capturing the subtle variations and color depth of the yarn, but rest assured the yarn is magnificent.
The hat is so soft! After knitting this up, I want to get at least two more skeins of Silky Merino and make a chunky shawl so I can wrap myself up in the merino-silk goodness.
